Introducing Metro Areas by the Numbers

The Institute for Immigration Research's Metro Areas by the Numbers project has just released its first report on how immigrants have changed the face of Boston since the 1970s.  This project is an effort to show the impact of immigration over the last generation, city by city.  Beginning in Boston with this research brief, this project will move on to describe how immigrants have impacted major metropolitan areas.  In the Boston Metropolitan Area research brief, we take a closer look at the economic changes that have occurred since the 1970s, as the region has fought to remain competitive in the global economic landscape.
