We invite you to attend the second Institute of Immigration Research (IIR) colloquium series for 2016.   February's discussion will focus on the research of Louise Puck, an IIR researcher who conducted a qualitative labor study on Central American day laborers, in cooperation with Centreville Labor Resource Center (CLRC).  She will share the motivations for day laborers' migration to the US, the factors affecting their transition into American society, and the types of work day laborers perform in Northern Virginia.  Please join us for great conversation and to learn more about this immigrant population in America.
