Dr. Justin Gest will present the findings from his latest book, The New Minority: White Working Class Politics in an Age of Immigration and Inequality. He details a comprehensive cross-national analysis of white working class alienation in the United Kingdom and United States, along with survey research of radical right support due to loss of social status and political importance. This event is free and open to the public, with registration. Refreshments and light snacks offered.
This event will be followed by Voter Anger: A Symposium Honoring the Prescient Scholarship and Memory of Susan J. Tolchin in Founders Hall Auditorium 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
