This week, April 12-16, 2021, you can explore careers in the world of nonprofit organizations as University Career Services hosts panel presentations and workshops that offer the chance to meet people working in nonprofits, ask questions, and gain a greater understanding of the range of possibilities in this field.  

Monday, April 12, 4-5 pm (EDT)

Making Your Way in Nonprofits introduces the opportunities available for students considering a career in the nonprofit world. Nonprofit organizations of all size need candidates with skills in finance, technology, communications, business, and more. Mason Alumni Panel: How to Launch Careers in Nonprofits brings together a panel of Mason alumni who work in various nonprofits to discuss how they’ve navigated the “world of work” post-graduation. How did they get from Mason to where they are today? You’ll gain first-hand accounts on how our alumni utilize their Mason education in the nonprofit industry.

Are you looking to gain experiences in the nonprofit sector? Come learn from a panel of current Mason students who intern at various local nonprofits as they discuss techniques for searching and applying for nonprofit internships, and how to make the most of your experience. 

This event is co-led by Spring 2021 GMU Nonprofit Fellows, and will be hosted virtually as well as available to stream in-person in SUB I, Room 3400. Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. A Career Services Nonprofit Industry Advisor will be available on site to answer additional questions after the event.
