Eirini Giannaraki is a PhD candidate in Sociology at George Mason University and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute for Immigration Research. After earning a B.A. in Sociology from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (Athens, Greece), she received an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Durham University (UK). Eirini is interested in using quantitative and qualitative research methods in order to study immigration policies pertaining to refugees and their impact on integration experiences.

Before joining George Mason, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at Koç University in Istanbul (Migration Research Center). She has also been a Research Assistant at the University of Athens (Greece), and has experience working with refugees as a trainee Case Manager at NGOs in Greece.
