IIR Colloquium with Mamadou Samba

Mamadou Samba, originally from Dakar, Senegal, was appointed to serve as the District of Columbia's Director of the Mayor's Office on African Affairs by Mayor Muriel Bowser. Having served previously as a commissioner on the DC Commission on African Affairs, Samba is an active advocate for African diaspora communities.

Mr. Samba will talk about the African diaspora community in the Washington DC area, their demographics, success, and challenges.
