In the summer of 2025, the IIR completed a detailed report examining immigrants working in registered apprenticeship industries in Virginia. Overall, in the Commonwealth, among individuals who are employed and between the ages of 16 to 65, just over three-fifths are employed in industries where registered apprenticeship training is a possibility. Immigrants living in Virginia were more likely to be employed in registered apprenticeship industries compared to native-born residents (66.3% vs. 61.3%).
