Monson Grand Tier, Center for the Arts Fairfax, Virginia, United States

Join Hylton Performing Arts Center Artist-in-Residence and GRAMMY Award-winning Villalobos Brothers in a moderated conversation about their lives as artists and immigrants and how those identities intersect and influence each other.  The Villalobos Brothers are redefining contemporary Mexican music while delivering positive messages of brotherhood, equity, and love.

Hailing from the culturally rich Mexican province of Veracruz, the brothers Alberto, Ernesto, and Luis have shared the stage with the San Francisco Symphony, and collaborated with such legendary artists as Bruce Springsteen, Dolly Parton, Antonio Sánchez, Regina Carter, Eduardo Magallanes, Dan Zanes, The Chieftains, and Ana Tijoux. As a Hylton Center Artist-in-Residence, the Villalobos Brothers will also work with the community through classes and workshops during the week leading up to the performance on October 26th.

Co-Moderated by Rick Davis, Dean of College of Visual and Performing Arts and Jim Witte, Director of the Institute of Immigration Research
