Come learn about trends and issues affecting refugee flows to the DC Metro Area.
Representatives from the George Mason University Institute for Immigration Research (IIR) will provide an interactive presentation on immigration trends at the local, national, and global levels. Participants will learn how immigration has changed over time and how immigrants have enriched the culture of the U.S. society. The discussion will invite participants to explore their personal immigration stories and examine the impact of social media on connecting individuals across borders.
