IIR Migration Working Group - December

The Institute for Immigration Research (IIR) Migration Working Group is an informal space that brings together students and faculty across levels and departments. The aim of the Migration Working Group is to provide students and faculty opportunities to workshop and receive feedback on early-stage projects and works in progress, share our migration research, and learn with one another to strengthen our research projects.

We will meet once a month for one hour in a hybrid format. Each meeting will include two informal presentations and discussions of emerging migration-related projects.

Our December meeting plans to feature research from:

• Kellie Wilkerson, IIR Graduate Research Assistant and PhD Student, Sociology and Anthropology Department, George Mason University
• Dr. Sandip Sureka, Shrivastava Family Postdoctoral Researcher in Immigration Research, Institute for Immigration Research, George Mason University
