Oguzhan Dursun is a historian and visiting scholar, exploring the similarities, differences, and interactions between Greek and Turkish diaspora communities in the United States. His research revolves around the history of emotions, uncovering the nuanced connections between immigrant experiences and societal conflicts. By interpreting societal changes through the lens of emotions, he also tries to develop fresh methodologies for this developing field.

With a foundation in history, he expanded his academic journey by earning a master’s degree in cinematography, focusing on the unique genre of found footage horror. Alongside his scholarly work, he has published over 50 short stories and contemporary essays in various magazines. Showcasing his filmmaking expertise, he has produced and contributed to the production of several short films and documentaries. He has also worked with companies such as Al Jazeera Turk and tvnet during his career in media industry.
